The OpenSolaris 2008.05 (see also OpenSolaris Project: Indiana)
release is an effort to build a binary distribution of an operating system based on the Opensolaris source code. Several current projects on Opensolaris.org that modernize the look and feel of OpenSolaris and introduce a new package management system are included.
Solaris users are encouraged to try it out and contribute.
The iso file
contains a LiveCD version of the May 5, 2008 release of OpenSolaris.
